Bullthistle Farm's Black Cotswold Sheep for Sale |
![]() |
| We keep multiple rams through the
winter.
This is a picture of our boys, both Cotswold and Jacob, that we currently own. Only the best quality
animals are held back for breeding purposes.
We pride ourselves on the high quality behind a Bullthistle animal, and do
not sell second quality stock.
Because of our tireless efforts to produce healthy, dependable stock, we are sold out of Cotswold sheep (even in the midst of our flock reduction efforts). E-mail us with questions and for details. | ![]() |

The modern Cotswold was developed about 1800, and has been bred purely since then. They are a large framed sheep, maturing between 225 and 300 pounds. They are considered the "gentle giants."
|
The Black Cotswold has an incredible array of shadings from black to grays to browns, sometimes all variations occurring in a single fleece. If you have not spun a Black Cotswold fleece, start today and become hooked! It just may be the best spinning you do this year. |
Cotswolds are long lived and excellent mothers, usually not breeding until about 18 months of age. These beautiful animals are so popular that our stock is sold out with the exception of a few rams. Please ask if you are interested in obtaining some great bloodlines from these beautiful sheep. Only the best rams are kept as potential flock sires, and we put our name on nothing less than top quality breeding stock.
